"Truly, this new method has the capacity to radically change the way Forza Horizon 4 Credits feels and looks, and Fulton is just too pleased to give an illustration. "Seasons change everything from the sport, from the expression of the world and how it drives, to the events and gameplay you'll find during each season.
The ideal example of how seasons impact and change gameplay is Derwentwater. In Forza Horizon 4, it freezes in winter allowing you to drive on it, which consequently allows you to access gameplay on an island in the centre you can't get to for the rest of the year. In summer, some rivers dry up entirely making races that offer a challenge than when the rivers are full in spring or fall. And in spring, heavy rain can alter offroad races as dirt becomes heavy, deformable mud, and flooding affects the best lines to have the trail."
While Playground's foundation in the UK means the studio ought to have the ability to recreate the atmosphere of the British Isles perfectly, this isn't a team that leaves things to chance; when creating Forza Horizon 3, Playground actually sent people to Australia to record footage of cloud configurations to put in the match; the sky you watched as you pelted throughout the outback was the real thing. And because our game features lively seasons, it was not sufficient to do only 1 research trip -- we visited every location to assemble.
