The Importance of Midbrain Activation In Improving Brain Performance
Midbrain activation is one of the most innovative concepts presently. It is one of the hottest topics to study about. Before going any further, let’s define the midbrain part. Midbrain or mesencephalon is that part of the brain that focuses on the controlling function. In other words, it basically acts as a manager to the bran activities. The midbrain functioning is most active during the toddler days. In fact, midbrain performs best from the time of birth till 5 years of age. Post 5 years, the midbrain becomes less active. Slowly it starts loosing capability to manage left or right part of the brain. Basically, the midbrain starts to become slightly lethargic. As a result, the left and right brains start functioning without the requirement of manager. These two brains start competing with one another, depending on the character and circumstances. Accordingly, one of the brains becomes a looser while another becomes a winner.
If the left one wins, it would be solving most of the problems. The person with such brain functioning part would be referred to as left brain dominant. Scientifically proven, people with left brain dominancy are considered to be great in physics, engineering studies, mathematics, and other science subjects. These people are usually regarded brains with higher IQ level.
Those people whose right brain is the dominant one, they usually excel in performance, arts, and creativity. They usually enjoy high number of friends. These people are usually regarded as people with higher EQ.
Speaking about midbrain activation for adult, the midbrain regains control after the activation commences. During such scenarios, any problem arising will get solved by both the brains, be it the right or left. The midbrain activation part will help in improving the performance of the entire brain.
